UAP installs its 25th National President
Former Vice Mayor of Municipality of Pavia (Iloilo, Philippines) Architect GUILLERMO H. HISANCHA, FUAP, APEC Ar, AA, was formally installed as 25th National President of the United Architects of the Philippines for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 in an auspicious ceremony held last June 30, 2016 at the historic building, Casa Real de Iloilo, (also known as the Royal House during the Spanish times which built in 1840), in Iloilo City, Province of Iloilo, Philippines.
Graced by Iloilo Governor, Hon. Arthur D. Defensor, Sr., 2nd District Congressman of the Province of Iloilo Hon. Arcadio H. Gorriceta, Pavia Mayor Michael B. Gorriceta, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Commissioner Arch. Yolanda David-Reyes, Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture (PRBOA) Chairman, Arch. Robert S. Sac, Past UAP National Presidents, the installation includes the induction of the members of the UAP National Board of Directors, Officers of the College of Fellows and Jury of Fellows, Chairpersons and Heads of Standing and Special Committees, and Chapter Presidents.
UAP Inaugural Rites graced by Iloilo leaders
The Inauguration Rites, the first to be held outside of Luzon, was graced by Iloilo Governor, Hon. Arthur D. Defensor, Sr., 2nd District Congressman of the Province of Iloilo Hon. Arcadio H. Gorriceta and Pavia Mayor Hon. Michael B. Gorriceta.
The event was held last June 30, 2016 at Casa Real De Iloilo, Iloilo City, Philippines.

Eleven Past Presidents of the United Architects of the Philippines during the Inaugural Rites held last June 30, 2016 at Casa Real De Iloilo, Iloilo City. The eleven past presidents were: Architects Richeto C. Alcordo (1990-1991), Nestor S. Mangio (FY 1994-1995; 1995-1996), Emmanuel P. Cuntapay (FY 1996-1997; 1997-1998), Yolanda D. Reyes (FY 1998-1999; 1999-2000), Prosperidad C. Luis (FY 2000-2001; 2001-2002), Robert S. Sac (FY 2002-2003; 2003-2004), Enrique O. Olonan (FY 2004-2005), Edric Marco C. Florentino (FY 2005-2006; 2006-2007), Medeliano T. Roldan, Jr. (FY 2007-2008; 2008-2009), Ana S. Mangalino-Ling (FY 2009-2010), Ramon S. Mendoza (FY 2010-2011; 2011-2012).

Presscon held prior to the 1st Chapter Presidents' Assembly
Attended by various media outlets based in the Province of Iloilo, a press conference was held prior to the First Chapter Presidents' Assembly at Diversion 21 Hotel on July 1, 2016. The prescon was attended by the new members of the Executive Committee and Past UAP National Presidents.
Issues on architectural practice and the contribution of the architecture profession to the community were tackled during the press conference.
Planning confab concludes with Davies Fellowship Night
The planning conference held on day 1 of the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 was concluded with the Fellowship Night sponsored and hosted by Davies Paints Philippines.
